Remote Pilot (Small UAS) Endorsement Sheet
Instructor sequence · FAA AC 61-65K Appendix A · Checked 17 October 2026
Scope: Part 107 remote pilot certificate: an instructor-endorsement checklist is not applicable. Each endorsement needs the instructor signature, signing date, certificate number, and recent-experience end date or certificate expiration, as applicable. Fill in applicant, aircraft, test, location, and limitations. These are drafting cues; use the full FAA sample wording before signing.
Certificate and recency checklist
| Endorsement / authority | When / duration | How to word it |
|---|---|---|
| Initial certification route § 107.61(d) | Pass the initial aeronautical knowledge test, or, if eligible as a Part 61 pilot with current flight review, complete the specified training. | No flight-instructor test endorsement is required by Part 107. |
| Knowledge recency § 107.65 | Before exercising remote-pilot privileges, meet one of the acceptable knowledge/training options within the previous 24 calendar months. | Keep evidence of the qualifying test or training; this is not an instructor endorsement. |
| Retest or recurrent training §§ 107.65, 107.71 | Follow the Part 107 test and recurrent-training requirements for the applicant’s route. | Do not apply Part 61 endorsement wording to a Part 107 test. |
Special check: This sheet intentionally says “no endorsement” where none is required; it is a certification checklist rather than a logbook template.
